Download both files above — the installer and your license.key.
Double-click bitchos-x.x.x.jar. Paste your key into the installer when it
asks, and press Install. It creates a bitchos-Lunar folder, saves your key,
and copies the launch argument to your clipboard.
Lunar Client → Settings → Game Settings (1.8.9) → Advanced → JVM Arguments.
Paste the argument on its own line, replacing any older bitchos line.
Launch 1.8.9. Chat greets you with licensed — welcome and the bitchos
watermark appears top-left.
Press - (the minus key) for the menu, or type /bitchos.
Rebind any time with /bitchos bind INSERT. Full docs at
docs.hwic.dev.
Using Forge instead of Lunar?
Download the Forge build above. It is a different jar — it carries its own
copy of Mixin, which Forge does not ship. Do not use it on Lunar, and do not use the
Lunar jar on Forge.
Drop it in .minecraft/mods for Forge 1.8.9. There is no
installer step and no JVM argument.
Set your key once, either by double-clicking the jar and pasting it into the
installer, or in game with /bitchos key YOUR-KEY.
Launch. The same key works on both — keys bind to your Minecraft UUID, not
to the launcher, so one key covers Lunar and Forge on the same account.
The Forge build does not update itself. Lunar swaps its jar in at launch, the one
moment the file is closed; Forge holds every jar in mods/ open for
the whole session, so it tells you in chat when a new version is out and you replace it
here.
Installer didn't take the key? Place it by hand
Put the downloaded license.key in your bitchos folder — create it if it isn't there:
macOS~/.bitchos
Windows%USERPROFILE%\.bitchos
The file must be named exactly license.key and contain only your key.
On macOS press ⇧⌘G in Finder and paste the path to reach the hidden folder.
Your key binds to your Minecraft account the first time it validates —
launch on the account you intend to use it on.
